Happy Birthday Reksio+Dakota

I have been so busy that I didnt get the chance to blog Dakotas birthday (YESS INTERNET, Im SOOOOO cool and have doggie birthdaysss! ppfftt)
Well the birthday bash was a hit to say the least! We had it on her actual birthday (July 13) She got all dressed up in a special 1year old big girl brithday dress and cutey pink bow barrets! ADORABLE, right?! She invited her 3 friends Jackson, Reksio and Reggie. They had a blast and lllloooooveeeed the doggie loot bags and pupcakes that I got for them!

Well it seems I have started a trend with all my friends because last night Matt, Dakota and I attended Reksio (its polish for rex - if you really want to say it 'properly' rollll your tongue and pretend you have a cool accent) birthday partayy. Reksio is my good friend Olas dog. We all had such a fun time, chatting with one another and eating yummy polish cake with Ola's family! So its now mandatory...DOG OWNERS, you neeed to get all your friends and their fury friends over and have your dog a birthdayyy partyyy!

For the next two weeks I'm in Lethbridge, Alberta visiting my boyfriend Matt. He goes to school out west and so we have been doing the 'long distance thing' which is hard at times but I think in the end will be really great for us because it allows us the opportunity to really test our relationship and it gives us the chance to be together but still have that independence and the ability to grow individually as well as together.

So finally we get to spend some time together and I'm beyond excited! We have a ski trip planned to Fernie, BC which I'm sooo pumped about because 1. I havn't skied in forevs and 2. were going down a REAL mountain! Hopefully it will go better than my last attempt at winter sports (haha mom -- its a long story Internet, so just take my word that it was not a pretty sight!)

sooo... I come home from work to find this baby squirrel in my driveway. Me being the animal love that I am, I obviously go over to see it and make sure it is ok ... well I walk right up to it and it barely moves - so naturally I assume it is hurt and of coarse I am going to help it. 

I go into my house to get a box to put it in to take it to the vet/animal control. I then put the little guy in the box and take it into my house. I go back to my car to get some of the bags I left behind. When I go back into my house not only is the squirrel out of the box - but he is now running around my house. 

As soon as he spots me... he runs up to me and follows me around like I'm its mother... cute but scary lol .... 

I finally lure him outside and a few days later he is doing this same thing alllll over again to my neighbor .. crafty little guy!

ps. its not the best picture as it only sat still for like seconds at a time!

Not Enough Time:(

I havn't blogged in quite some time, I feel so disappointed. I have been so wrapped up in finishing school and moving, I have kept putting it off! 

buuutt not anymore!

Here is a shot of my boyfriend (Ben)'s family dog - Luke. He's just a puppy and is so hyper and hilarious ...
